St. Patrick's day
We usually celebrate St. Paddy's day with green colored food. This year we decided to change it up a bit. We tried corned beef with cabbage. Yes, I know this isn't traditional Irish fare, but it is what is considered to be traditional for the U.S. I have to say that I am cringing while writing this. I do not like corned beef. I tried it, but the whole time it was cooking, the smell made me nauseous. The kids didn't care too much for it either, except for Maren, she eats just about everything. It was fun to try something new, but I think we will stick to the green food coloring.
