Ben Turns 35

Ben's birthday was yesterday, he turned 35. For a few months he gets to be 3 years older than me :) I made a big tray of brownies for Ben to take to work so his co-workers could help him celebrate. We celebrated even more at Texas Roadhouse. We had never eaten there before and decided to try something new and adventurous. It was awesome! The steak was heavenly and so was everything else. The owner came and brought us free ribs because it was our first time there. We feasted (pigged out) on cheese fries, ribs and fries, steak, loaded sweet potatoes and rolls. The owner even gave us a bag of peanuts to take home. The best part was when Sydnee told our waiter that it was her daddy's birthday. He brought over a saddle and made Ben sit on it while he made an announcement to the whole restaurant that it was Ben's birthday. It was great, I wish I would have brought my camera. We rolled ourselves out the door and home for more fun. Ben opened his Walmart bag of clothes I bought for him and we had our FHE. Side Note: Ben wanted a new ice maker for the freezer for his gift, so I gave it to him on Friday so we could have ice on his birthday. We ended the night with pecan pie as per Ben's request. I have never made a pecan pie from start to finish, I've always helped Ben with the filling, but not the crust or baking. It was a totally hideous pie, which was a little overcooked. Oh well, it tasted pretty good. Thanks hon for putting up with my pathetic birthday parties. I hope you enjoyed your day!
